Sensory play: Pom pom party

Sensory play: Pom pom party

Kids imagingations can go crazy with a little help from you! This sensory activity is perfect for the little ones with ice cream building, great for the bigger ones with the maths in play but an even better all rounder to see ALL of the kids playing together.

What you need:

  • pom poms
  • ice cream scoop
  • paper money or paper and markers
  • plastic cups
  • shredded paper (optional)

Number of players:

Activity:

Lay out all of you supplies and have the kids begin building the ice creams.

For the older children or an adult if older kids are not available, lay out the shop keepers money.

Give the kids their own bank of money and let them pay for each "scoop" or pom pom.

Enjoy the counting, playing and eating. Maybe you can have some real ice cream after it's all packed up.
