Sparkly Christmas spiral

This sparkly Christmas spiral will catch the eye of more than Santa Claus when he pays a visit! Hang them in your windows and watch as the light catches and glitter, or decorate your Christmas tree with these homemade beauties. The kids will love making them as they create their very own works of Christmas art.

What you need:

  • 2 sheets clear contact paper
  • Confetti or sparkly stickers or shapes
  • Glitter
  • Thread
  • Pen

Number of players:
2+

Activity:

Lay out one sheet of contact paper and remove the adhesive backing.

Place your confetti, glitter and sparkly shapes and stickers in whatever pattern or design you want on the sticky surface.

Once done with your designs, remove the backing from the second contact sheet and press the two adhesive sides together trapping the glitter and shapes between the sheets.

Carefully round the edges of the square sheets.

Either lightly draw or start cutting a spiral line through the contact sheets, keeping the space between the spiral lines as wide or narrow as you want. Narrow will create a longer spiral, while wider will result in a shorter wider spiral.

Punch a hole in the top of the spiral and thread some string through to use for hanging. Position your sparkly spiral near a window so it will catch the light and glitter!
