Valentine’s surprise

Valentine’s surprise

Planning a surprise party for Valentine’s Day is a fun and exciting activity to make the day special for everyone, especially the kids. All you need is your imagination, some decorating skills and a few bags of lollies to make a party for your kids to remember.

What you need:

  • Lollies
  • Streamers
  • Chocolate hearts
  • Invitations
  • Balloons

Number of players:
1+

Activity:

If you are using invitations, send them to the other children’s parents at least a week before the party and remind them to keep it secret.

Remind parents that their children should all bring a gift to exchange at the party.

Decorations

Decorate your house or the rooms you will be using with red and pink streamers and balloons, or if you want to get creative, make some fabulous Valentine’s heart wreath or door hangers.

Food

Serve any food you like, but remember, for kids, Valentine’s Day usually isn’t about love and sentiment, it is about sharing sweets and laughter with their friends. So have sweet treats on the menu to please the guests.

Games

Have plenty of fun activities planned for the children to keep active. Some great Valentine’s games include Find the magic rose,  Hearts toss game  and Hidden hearts.

When the guests arrive, collect the gifts to hand out as the children leave at the end of the party.

Also make some themed party bags for the kids to take home as that will ensure a smile on their faces!
