Family board games night

Grab out the old board games and remind the kids what it is like to be unplugged and enjoy the games of the past. Cool games mum and dad used to play. Make it a night a week you all sit and play a game or two. Chat about the week and connect again.

What you need:

  • board games
  • puzzles
  • cards
  • no TV
  • no computer
  • no plug in devices at all

Number of players:

Unplug the TV, turn off the computer and take the phone off the hook. There is no need for that with this activity.

Gather the family and show the kids what it is like to disconnect from the world, only to reconnect to the family.

Play a board game or two and make it a habit. Each Saturday night, pull out one or two different games. The kids may find a favourite and want to play it continuously or they may want to try other games – try them all!
