Whether you’re at home or out-and-about this summer, it pays to be prepared.

Ahhh, summer…long sunny evenings to enjoy, weekends at the park and beach, and family camping holidays to plan. There’s so much to look forward to. But it’s important to be prepared for the summer months, especially when you have young children.

Whether you’re at home or out-and-about, kids get aches, pains and fevers at any time. That’s why it pays to keep Pamol® handy – the all-round solution for children’s pain and fever relief. The Pamol® family of products includes an option for every age and stage.

Pamol® Infant Drops for babies aged up to 12 months provides effective relief from pain and fever for your baby. Each pack comes with an easy-dose syringe to make it easier to give your child the exact dose. Available in orange flavour and can be used from three months old. (For younger babies, please see your healthcare professional.)

For children from one year old, the 100ml Convenience Pack is just the right size to take with you when you travel. It’s available in orange and strawberry flavours to suit little taste buds.

The larger, 200ml Family Pack is a great option to keep handy in the home medicine cabinet. It’s also available in orange and strawberry flavours.

If your child has an accident or is unwell, it can be stressful, especially if you’re away from home. Remember that accurate dosage of any medicine is important. Pamol’s® Little Helper is a handy App that can help in these situations and is easily accessible from a smartphone. The App includes a temperature checker to confirm if your child has a fever, and a dose calculator to determine the right amount of Pamol® to give your child, you can find it at www.pamol.co.nz

The warmer weather and summer holidays are great excuses to get outdoors and have fun as a family. That can mean more spills, bumps and bruises, particularly for adventurous toddlers, here are a few tips to start.

  • Apply an ice pack (wrapped in a cloth) to any swelling.
  • For bumps on the head, keep your child awake. Look for signs such as strange behaviour, loss of consciousness, unusual sleepiness or vomiting and contact your healthcare professional immediately.
  • Pamol® will help relieve pain & fever.

Remember a good dose of love, care and cuddles is often the answer, but Keep Pamol® handy this summer just in case to effectively treat pain and fever associated with many common childhood illnesses. Trusted by New Zealand parents for over 50 years.

You can buy Pamol® from your pharmacy, not available on prescription.

What a great idea, its always good to get the right amount and at times ive been so tired and its been a struggle just to figure it out. So this app would be very helpful. Ive just been on holiday and took the travel size, it was great as you are input allowed 100mls of liquid on the plane

I carry pamol everywhere I go. Years of sudden tummy bugs hitting my youngest has taught me that fevers come on from nowhere and having to buy pamol in little towns is often pretty pricey. Keeping a supply is just smart thinking 😉

Other than the added benefit of using the app, I don’t understand why you would buy over the counter Pamol and not get the prescribed ones from the GP. Isn’t more convenient and free? And of course the doctor also prescribes the right dosage.

Definitely downloading this app! What a great idea! I always ensure we have plenty of pamol on hand for the kids, so that we can use it immediately when needed. I have never heard of the drops but it is a great new product to know about as my husband and I prepare for welcoming our latest baby in the new year.

The app!! What a great idea. I have always just used a raggety piece of paper that the doctor printed off for me many years ago with weight and dosage ratios. Having the app would be fantastic when you are out and about and not sure of the dosage.

Love the idea of the app! I wonder how many if my friends know about this I’ll have to tell them about it that makes life and dosage so much easier!
Pamol has been a God send on a number of occasions for us and when it started being available without a script made it even better. I’ve learnt over the years along with arnica rub to have a small bottle of it in my bag and some in our first aid kit.

we use pamol quite abit with my two very adventurous children. I find it great and very effective for pain and fever even just to mellow it over night until the doctors the next morning. It’s a life saver really. Alot of parents would be lost without pamol. Great read

If you have kids Pamol is a must, we find it to be so useful in our house. Its not used often but when it’s needed nothing else will do!

With 3 kids pamol gets used a fair bit in our house and on the road it goes everywhere it helps to relieve pain from bump and headaches only when needed of course though as kids soon want it more often.

We always have a small supply of Pamol on hand, I also take it with us whenever we go away just in case. We have definitely needed it in the past, just makes it so much easier if you already have it than to have to find somewhere that sells it and also fork out extra money. I don’t give it to our daughter often, but there are definitely times when she needs it 🙂
