Nature’s Relief for Bloating, Abdominal Pain, Cramps, & Spasms (IBS)

Promotion for Mintec

The peppermint oil contained in Mintec capsules offers you natural relief of the abdominal pain, discomfort, bloating, spasms, cramps and wind associated with Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

What is IBS

Irritable Bowel Syndrome, or IBS is a disorder of the bowels. Symptoms can include abdominal pain, cramping, bloating or a feeling of fullness, constipation, or diarrhoea. Other symptoms may include excessive wind and a ‘rumbly’ tummy.

IBS affects more women than men and usually is first experienced in late teens or early twenties. Symptoms often appear before a woman’s period.1

IBS does not damage the colon or other parts of the digestive system and does not lead to other bowel or health problems, however if you suspect you have irritable bowel syndrome, it is important to seek medical advice.

While the cause of IBS is not known, what is known is that individuals with IBS have an oversensitive bowel. Food tolerance, infection, general diet, emotional stress, medication and even genetics are all factors that may trigger IBS.

IBS can be distressing for sufferers and can affect their daily life. There are a range of lifestyle changes that can help reduce the occurrence of symptoms such as avoiding some foods, regular exercise, and reduction of stress. When they occur, constipation and diarrhoea can be treated with things like laxatives or anti-diarrhoea medication, and antispasmodic medication is useful to help relieve abdominal discomfort.

What is Mintec Peppermint IBS Relief?

Mintec is an enteric-coated capsule containing medicinal peppermint oil, a natural antispasmodic agent, and is regarded as a ‘First Line Therapy’ listed in Australia’s Therapeutic Guidelines to manage abdominal pain, discomfort, bloating, cramping and spasms due to medically diagnosed IBS.

How does Mintec work?

Peppermint oil is a natural antispasmodic that encourages the bowel muscles to relax and relieve the discomfort and pain associated with medically diagnosed IBS. Mintec capsules contain medicinal grade peppermint oil and are enteric-coated to ensure they pass through the stomach intact, so they can deliver the peppermint oil to the bowel, where it is most needed.

Interesting article. I work with a NZ company based in Christchurch and Dunedin that supports people with IBS. I sympathise with those that struggle with their symptoms and understand that IBS has a big impact on some peoples lives.
