We know that a road trip with the kids is a fun way to spend time together, but as mums ourselves we also know that being stuck together in a car for six hours can be a bit of a challenge.
To help you keep the kids entertained, we’ve put together a family-friendly version of one of our favourite games – there’s even a Kiwi twist!
Would you rather learn to paddle a waka or carve your own pounamu?
Would you rather feed the giraffes at Orana Wildlife Park in Christchurch, or feed the eels at Pukahu National Wildlife Centre in the Wairarapa?
Would you rather swing through the trees at Tree Adventures in Woodhill near Auckland, or zipline across the Christchurch Adventure Park?
Download our checklist below or print it for the drive and have fun asking the kids what they’d rather do and why. When you run out of questions, encourage them to use their imagination to come up with their own.
