Honey Soy Chicken Noodle Stir Fry

Honey and soy sauce is a combination that all kids love - it must be something to do with the sweet-and-salty flavours! Coupled with chicken and noodles, this easy recipe will be a winner every time you make it.

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken breast

    skin removed, cut into strips

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 2 minced garlic

  • 2 carrots

    cut into strips

  • 1 onion

    cut into thin wedges

  • 1/2 red capsicum

    cut into thin strips

  • 2 x 200g packet udon noodles

  • 1 pan

Instructions

  1. Combine chicken, honey and soy, marinate for 5 mins.
  2. Drain chicken but reserve marinade.
  3. Stir fry chicken in batches until just cooked through.
  4. Remove from pan and set aside.
  5. Add vegetables and lightly cook, then return chicken to pan, add marinade and noodles.
  6. Toss until marinade is well heated through.
  7. Add a little water if noodles stick.

Tip
This is a super quick dish that can be on the table within 20 minutes.
Variation
You can add other vegetables like canned Chinese corn, bok choy, zucchini, or green beans.

Try chicken, broccoli and cashew nut stir fry.

Use different noodles like hokkien or glass noodles.

Fish is also tasty in stir frys.
