4 burgers

The “smashed” patty in these burgers creates extra morsels of tasty, caramelised beef.

Ingredients

  • 4 Hellers Smashed Burgers Angus Beef

    (2 packs)

  • 4 burger buns

  • 4 slices cheese

  • 1.5 cups lettuce

    shredded

  • 1-2 tomatoes

    sliced

  • 1/4 red onion

    thinly sliced

  • gherkin slices

  • burger sauce

Equipment

  • 1 oven
  • 1 BBQ

Instructions

  1. Slice the buns in half and warm in the oven or on the BBQ rack until slightly toasted.
  2. BBQ the burger patties according to the packet instructions, ensuring they are cooked through.
  3. Either allow everyone to create their own burger stack or layer with sauce, lettuce, gherkins tomato, red onion, smash patty, and sliced cheese.

Notes

For the bigger appetites, double up the patties with a cheese slice in-between.
