Submit an event
Are you hosting an event that’s suitable for families, children or the wider community? We welcome submissions for:
- Community events
- School fairs and fundraisers
- Cultural celebrations and festivals
- Library and community centre events
- Family-friendly activities and workshops
- Playgroups and children’s activities
- Sport and recreation events
- Charity and fundraising events
- Whānau and neighbourhood gatherings
All submissions are reviewed by the Kidspot team before publication.
Event submission guidelines
To be considered for inclusion, events should:
- Be family-friendly or have activities suitable for children and families
- Be free or low-cost to attend
- Take place in New Zealand
- Have clear event details, including date, location and organiser information
- Comply with all relevant health and safety requirements
- Not be primarily commercial or promotional in nature*
Please submit events at least two weeks before the event date, where possible.
* If you are looking to promote an event for your business, enquire about our advertising packages.
Publication terms and conditions
Submission of an event does not guarantee publication. Kidspot reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to approve, edit, decline, remove or update any event listing at any time. We may choose not to publish events that do not align with our editorial guidelines, audience interests, or community standards. By submitting an event, you grant Kidspot permission to publish the information across Kidspot’s website, newsletters and social media channels at our discretion.
Submit your event

- The Kidspot team will review your event for publication.
- Approved events are added to the relevant regional Community What’s On page.
