Stars, maps, compasses and GPS are all ways that people have navigated their way around the world (and beyond!). There are lots of different types of navigation that have been used in history, many of which we still use today.
This September, uncover the different ways navigation technology has helped people of the past and present discover new places and spaces and how this tech has been built in to our daily lives. Become an expert navigator and learn how to make a compass, or follow our map trail.

TROLLS are back at the Sky Tower
Location: Sky Tower, Auckland
When: Daily, 23 September – 8 October
Boogie your way to the Sky Tower these school holidays, to celebrate the release of TROLLS BAND TOGETHER in cinemas 30 November.
Come and enjoy TROLLS BAND TOGETHER activity books and colouring-in. Put your dance moves to the test in the Just Dance disco zone and get your face painted daily from 10.30am – 2.30pm. View the city from 220m above street level and spot Auckland’s landmarks like the Harbour Bridge, Mt Eden and Rangitoto.
Don’t forget to grab a photo with Scotty Sky Tower weekends from 11am – 2pm.

Celebrate 100 years of Auckland Zoo
Location: Motions Road, Western Springs

By visiting Auckland Zoo, you make a real and tangible contribution to the zoo’s conservation work here and in the wild. Goode Brothers Family Fun
There’s something goode for the whole family at Goode Brothers this school holidays. From our kids pizza making classes to our Kids Day Out, we do (most) of the looking after and all of the cleaning up. We’ll make sure the two weeks fly by with ease!

Tickets are $5 per person & Includes Skate Hire! (Limited – FIFS). (Under 1s and accompanying adults FREE).
Theme is Safari – so feel free to get dressed up! SPOT PRIZES TO BE WON FOR BEST DRESSED!

Life Education Trust Hamilton team will be at the Hamilton Gardens – Jade Dragon Theatre – Gate 2, Interactive story time with Enchanted Entertainment, Sausage sizzle ($2) and Harold will be about too… So come say hi!
