Strawberry Rice Bubbles hearts

These heart-shaped Rice Bubbles are ideal for you to make for your Valentine. They have a delicious flavour that comes from strawberry jam

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter

  • 4 cups marshmallows

  • 1 cup strawberry jam

  • 7 cups Rice Bubbles

Equipment

  • 1 18cm x 28cm slice pan
  • 1 baking paper
  • 1 large pan
  • 1 metal spoon
  • 1 metal cookie cutter

Instructions

  1. Line an 18cm x 28cm slice pan with baking paper and set aside.
  2. In a large pan, melt the butter over a medium heat and add the marshmallows and jam, stirring until well combined.
  3. Remove from the heat and mix in the Rice Bubbles, making sure that all of the bubbles are well coated.
  4. Pour into the pan and smooth flat using the back of a metal spoon.
  5. When completely cool, cut out heart shapes using a metal cookie cutter.

Notes

Tip
You can use the microwave to make the marshmallow mixture. Just cook the butter, jam and marshmallows for 3 minutes on high and then whisk well.
Variation
Drizzle with melted white chocolate.
Storage
Rice Bubble treats are best eaten on the day they are prepared.
