My kids loved trialing this product. I like that it comes in cute lil portioned sized pots, easy to pop in the lunchbox. I have 3 kids and had 2 pots so of course had to share it out among them. (was so tempted to eat them myself hehe) They tried it as treat after dinner cold, with vanilla ice cream. All 3 absolutely loved the flavor and ate it all up. We have tried the vanilla in the past but never had the chocolate one. The texture is creamy and pleasant, unlike when I have tried to make it myself. It’s a big thumbs up from these guys. Our youngest and our fussiest eater loved this product!! It was creamy and not gritty in texture as some creamed Rice’s are. It was sweet enough without being sickly. She enjoyed so much that we got more in our weekly shopping (her grin was ear to ear) and she has one in her lunchbox today. The only thng we did find that for her it was hard to open so for lunches I popped it in another container. Thanks so much for letting us trial this great tasty product it was a hit and will now be a regular in the shopping 🙂

Not bad for a gluten free treat but not the biggest fan of creamed rice anyway, still ate it all! Easy to open and I chose to warm mine. Good packaging and info 🙂
My daughter (8) and son (14) tried the Aunt Betty’s Chocolate Creamy Rice Snack with Cacao. To be honest they did not really like it. They would be good sized portions for school, but I think perhaps we will try another flavour. My son does like the Aunt Betty’s creamy vanilla rice that come in the little cans.
My 3 kids (7,5,1) all loved this and I quite liked it! It was not too sweet and the kids like that – they don’t like really sweet food too much. They were super handy and good for taking out for the day. The only issue was they could not open it themselves at school. But otherwise a yummy, easy product for kids.
Thanks for choosing us. I was trying in the hope that Miss 12 would actually like trying something chocolate with so much sugar. To no avail, she had two teaspoons and then gave the rest to me. I liked it but it doesnt really taste and chocolate as the kids will like.
Thanks so much for the chance to trial these. My 11 year old swims 3-4 times a week & I am always on the lookout for an after swim snack that isnt packed with sugar. He loves the vanilla Aunt Bettys creamed rice so he was very keen on trying this. He liked the first couple of spoonfuls & then decided it wasn’t for him. He does have high functioning autism & is a bit particular with his food. He said he just didnt really like the chocolate taste. I thought they were tasty though, although a tiny bit runnier than I expected. It was a good size for snacks.Thanks again for the opportunity
Aunt Betty’s Creamy Rice Cacao Flavour is delicious on vanilla ice-cream. I love the fact that it only has approx 2 teaspoons of sugar per tub as we are actively trying to cut down on the amount of sugar we have daily. They would make a great occasional treat in the lunchbox. Thanks for the chance to try before we buy.

I found the lid on them was hard for children to remove, if you sent them to preschool with a younger child they would need help to open them.
I liked the portion size – good for a snack or dessert and the fact that there is less sugar in them.
My fussy 3 year old wasn’t a fan but the 4 year old ate both of them and said the would like them again

In comparison to other creamy rice brands on the market which have a dairy food yoghurt kind of taste, this one was much more cleaner tasting. A nice treat with whole grains and energy to keep everyone going. My 7 year old son enjoyed one and my hubby had one as a post workout snack they both enjoyed it. Thanks again 🙂

This product was great in my opinion, loved the low sugar content, portion sizes and how versatile it is, we tried it cold as a snack/treat and warmed up in the microwave with a scoop of ice cream as a after dinner dessert and both ways worked really well, certainly a product I will be looking out for 🙂
Thank you for choosing us to review this product. We as a family tried it and we all said it left us with a furry/funny taste in our mouths. We would not buy this product as it tastes bitter and not nice at all. The packaging is nice in size, yes they are low on sugar which is a bonus for me as I am a diabetic. But the taste was unpleasant.

First my six year old daughter tried it cold and she didn’t like it and then I tried heating it up and she still didn’t like them unfortunately. I on the other hand enjoyed them so will probably buy them for myself as a snack and try my daughter again to see if she likes them.

Thankyou for the chance to trial the Aunt Betty’s chocolate creamy rice snack we had mixed reviews in this my son Mr 4 loved it however my daughter Miss 6 decided this was not for her she did not like the consistency. I loved it and will be using in at least one of the kids lunch boxes as I think it is a great healthy alternative as a treat.
I thought that the taste and size was just right and I do like how the shelf life is a year to date so can last on those camping trips etc without too much worry re storage.
All in all we like it and would definitely be purchasing from the supermarket so thankyou Kidspot.
Thank you for choosing us to review Aunt Bettys Creamy Rice. Intitial thoughts from Miss 6 and Mr 11 were that the packaging was attractive and colourful. The container itself was a bit to large to fit in the kids lunchboxes so they tried as a dessert. I think if it was to go in their lunchbox and they wernt aware of what it was they probably wouldnt have tried it as the internal packaging is plain and unidentifiable until opened. Miss 6 did not like it but Mr 11 said “smells like chocolate milk, looks like chocolate mousse, and tastes like both mixed together”. Had a 50/50 split between the two so thats a win 🙂
Thanks for giving us the opportunity to trial this product – my 4 year old has not been a fan of creamed rice in the past and she was initially intrigued by the packaging & colour (chocolate)! Sadly she wasn’t a fan but mostly because she can be quite fussy with certain food. I thought it was yummy and great to have a lowered sugar content!
I had super high hopes for this product being a good substitute for yogurt or for an energy boost before after school activities for my 4 and 6 year olds. I served then at room temperature which both kids didn’t like. I added canned fruit salad to see if that helped but I don’t think either of them liked the flavor as they didn’t finish it and barely had any. I tasted it as well and it wouldn’t be something I would want to have again. To be fair on this brand neither of the kids have particularly enjoyed other creamed rice brands in the past. The packaging was great, easy to read and to the point, the lids peeled off easily, which is great for little fingers.
my 4 year old loved it, though the 6 year old wasn’t to keen. It has the same familiar cream rice taste, with less sweetness which is great.

Sadly the kids weren’t so keen on the flavour of it.. I tried it too and also wasn’t keen so I understood why they weren’t to be honest. I usually Aunty Betty’s puddings etc so I had high hopes for this. Other people may like it though. Thanks for letting us try it out.
Yummy Yummy Yummy was the response from Miss 6 and 7. They both loved the chocolate creamed rice, had cold straight from the fridge. would definitely be a great hit for lunches or afternoon teas when at school. They had them for dessert one night and when asked how the flavour/taste compared to the tinned creamed rice which we often get they said as just as good. so the lower sugar content didn’t make any difference to the taste for them. Thanks heaps for the chance to try them.
My son absolutely loved this creamed rice. He said it was smooth and creamy. And it didn’t have a super strong chocolate flavour which he really liked. The size was perfect for him as a quick snack and he would definitely love to have more. I noticed that it is a good idea to give it a stir before eating as can seperate a bit. Packaging was simple and easy for my son to open. We look forward to trying the peach and vanilla ones now !!

However she thinks the portion was a bit big for her little tummy and will like it more if it’s in a smaller tub. Anyway great to try something new 🙂 thank you once again.
My daughter really enjoyed the creamy rice pudding. She said it tasted like chocolate yoghurt with rice in it. She ate it cold and really enjoyed it. And my hubby had the other one which he is a huge rice pudding fan so of course he loved it. We used this product for desert tonight after tea. The packaging was really good and easy to get into. Would recommend to anyone who is a fan of rice pudding because as my hubby and daughter said this rice pudding is the best. Hubby normally makes his own rice pudding so haven’t actually purchased any other products but hubby and daughter think this maybe a big hit in groceries now. My son, a creamed rice fan from way back, loved his sample, thanks to Aunt Betty and Kidspot! He thought it was easy to prepare; I told him the instructions and he did the rest! It also rated as “yummy” on his scale, which I have learnt in his years to be very nice!
Thanks for sending some of this new low sugar rice in choc flavour – both of my daughters tried it the other night (heated for 30 secs as recommended)…however both were not keen. I liked it tho! I have always liked the regular vanilla flavour so this was a nice deviation and still tasted great even with less sugar content.
Think the overall texture was what put them off, and to be honest it was quite runny. Could do with more rice!

My daughter loved this but my son took one mouthful and was not keen so I had the rest of his it almost tastes like a chocolate mousse with rice in it but without the added sugar. We will buy again but are keen try the other flavours as well as my kids are rice mad they always have it before sport too. It will be great in school lunches I will be looking out for these at our local supermarket

The information on the carboard label was imformative and eyecatching. My two had theirs as a dessert after dinner. On opening (easy to do, so great for lunchboxes), they looked and smelled delicious. Miss 14 had one spoonful and decided it was not for her…she is a great fan of the Aunt Betty’s creamy vanilla rice that come in the cans and I think she had expected the same sugar hit. Mr 10 ate his all up and he liked it. I finished off my daughters one and I really enjoyed it, it is not overly sweet at all and does have the chocolate flavour. I would buy these for my son to have in his lunchbox, they are lower on sugar and a good treat. Thank you.
