I love the packaging and it looks like a product that is just great from the first look. I love the earthwise soaps so this must be great one too! When I wanted to take a tiny bit of cream out i really had to use all my hand power to squeeze it. Once i finally got some out when I applied it onto my sons bottom it was nice and thick which i quite like but after changing his nappy 3 hours later the cream was in little bits which didnt look nice at all. Maybe different packaging in little container rather than squeezing it out would be better idea. Thank you for sending it though.

We were selected to review Natural Soothing Balm from Earthwise. I generaly love this brand so was excited to give this a try especially my son has rash prone and sensitive skin. I am loving the packaging, it’s simple but eye catching. The ingredients are great like chamomile, ginger root and shea butter. It’s zinc free and I mostly love the fact it doesn’t have artificial fragrances and toxins.
The cream claims to reduce redness and irritation by 49% after 2 days.
I had big expectations from this cream to be honest but I am a bit disappointed. First of all the texture is way to thick and takes a long while to take it out from tube and we all know kids won’t wait more than a minute for their nappy change. So it is not user friendly at all.
It is not easy to apply on skin too and takes quite a while to absorb which is strange as it looks exactly like zinc creams do.
It helps with redness a bit but not so much as it says.
Overall I wouldn’t buy this product and wouldn’t recommend for rash treatment, there are much better options there. However I appreciate that it is all natural and doesn’t harm kids delicate skin.

I would like to say thank you for selecting me as part of this review team.
I found the package design very appealing.
I also found it interesting that the product had no odour at all, it’s great to see less unnecessary additives being included in products.
But very sadly apart from that I was very disappointed in this product.
I found it incredibly difficult to squeeze the cream out of the tube, perhaps an open tub/pottle would be a better container for this product (maybe you could then use a recyclable plastic as well 😉 )
My daughter’s skin is clear at the moment so I cannot say how well this works at clearing rashes.
I did have difficulty when using as a barrier cream though as it did not spread very well. I would apply the cream and then when I tried to spread it the cream seemed to be getting pushed around and not really covering her skin.

This product is incredible on my baby’s skin. Being my first child I am very aware and cautious at what products to use on her skin, and what the products on the market contain in them. Earthwise soothing nappy balm has both a great texture that sticks to the skin and absorbs over a longer period of time. Without being greasy, along with being completely natural without the nasties in other products out there.

We love that it is a natural product! We use a mix of disposable and cloth nappies, and a mix of disposable and cloth wipes (just with warm water), and are very lucky to not have nappy rash! We use nappy balms on a regular basis to help prevent it. We used the earthwise soothing nappy balm for the last week and still no nappy rash. If we don’t use a nappy balm at night time we get the start of a rash so I can say it is great at helping to prevent it! It is quite a thick cream, but rubs in and leaves no residue. Not as oily as the weleda nappy balm. We also really like that it is in a tube rather than a tub, more hygienic from our perspective

I have received my nappy balm and wow its working wonders. The 1st day i put on my babies bottom i noticed a small difference and then the next day i noticed more. My baby gets bad nappy rash and this seems to help clear it away b4 it gets too bad.
    Thank u.

When I first recieved the nappy balm to test I was quite excited to have been chosen. the packaging is nicely designed, the colours they have picked make it easy to read and recognisable. but when it came time to use it, I couldnt get it out, It says on the back to keep above 20 degrees, which it was more than that in the afternoon in Hamilton, which got me wondering how do you use this in winter?
once I managed to squeeze enough out of the container, I was pleasantly surprised there was no smell of any nastys, it rubbed in nicely between my thumb and index finger and spread over bubs well.
it helped soothe and calm any redness within a couple of applications.

Overall this is a good nasty free product, however its not the easiest to get out even on a hot summer day

It’s been two days since I’ve received and applied the sample to my 6 months old baby boy. Sees his nappy rash getting better. I really like the package. Design is simple but sophisticated. The container cap is quite tough. I also like the smell. The Earthwise Nourish nappy balm does not have a strong smell that has other creams, such as Sudocrem. Unfortunately, some things that I feel negative are the cream is too hard to out the tube. I needed to squeeze hard to get the cream out. And, the amount of cream seems smaller compared to the container. I only use two days but the tube seems already half empty. Also, the cream became clump while applying. Overall, I like the cream anyway.

We have been trialing the Earthwise Nappy Balm over the last couple of days and there have been some definite pros and cons to this product. However, they are mostly positive!

The only thing I didn’t find great about this product was how hard it was to get out of the tube. You had to squeeze REALLY hard and hope that it wasn’t all going to come out suddenly!

I did find the balm easy enough to apply and have found that it is a GREAT barrier cream. My 10 month old has quite sensitive skin and if she’s in a nappy for too long, her skin gets very red in some places. This cream was great for helping with that.
We also use reusable nappies as well as disposables and the cream works great on her skin with either nappy on.

Overall, I love that this product is made in NZ and has no nasties in it whatsoever. It was helpful for my baby and I will use it again.

We have been selected to test and review the new Earthwise Nappy Balm.
Upon receiving the sample I was thoroughly impressed by the design. The white bottle with subtle blue looks elegant. The container isn’t cluttered thus making it more easily legible and you can clearly tell what product it is from a far.
To put the product to test I got it ready for bath time and after bathing my 10 month old daughter I was ready to apply it to her very red bottom. She has a very sensitive skin so I commend the vendor on designing a product which is suitable for all skin types. To my disapproval I could not get the cream out the tube! I did ensure that the sealing foil was removed but the cream just would not come out! Now every mom with a crawling baby knows just how hard dressing and nappy changes can be – you constantly need to pin them down so having to use BOTH hands to squeeze the tube to get the cream out was not ideal!! By the time I managed to get some of the cream out, baby had crawled away and I was left chasing a naked bum baby with cream all over my hands. Regardless I applied the cream and even though the consistency is too thick to get out of the tube, it wasn’t as thick applying it. I have applied the cream now for a few days and can see no difference whatsoever in baby’s red bottom. According to the vendor the cream reduces redness by 49% after two days but n my personal experience we have had no result after days of use.
I would personally not buy the product in my experience but know that many others were pleased with it.
Unfortunately the product didn’t suite our family but I do commend the vendor on designing such an environmentally friendly product. The review on this product does however not change my view of the vendor’s other products.

  11. Em.hendo 20/02/2020 at 8:09 pm

The cream was quite thick and went on really smooth and didnt feel greasy on my babies skin. I had used other natural nappy balms but I felt this product worked quicker at healing my sons nappy rash without leaving a residue on his skin. I like the simple fresh look of the packaging and that it is made in NZ! I would definitely recommend this to friends and the only improvement I would suggest is a nice scent.

  12. Sdunkley 20/02/2020 at 6:38 pm

We’re lucky enough to get to try out the earth wise nappy cream, love it! Our wee boy has eczema and can’t use any products with fragrance etc, this product has no smell is not greasy at all and seems to work really well for us! It is quite thick and hard to squeeze out which was a bit tricky while dealing with a wriggly baby but apart from that it’s awesome 🙂

  13. helibabi 20/02/2020 at 1:24 pm

    Really impressed with this.
I like the smell and texture a lot it didn’t smell like harsh chemicals like that one you get free all the time from a certain company. And it also looked more natural too.
I also liked the consistency it meant it would be hard for my toddler to get it out if he got his hands on it which is a bonus… as every other similar product comes in a tub and my toddler can open them and I am petrified he will rub it into the carpet and those zinc based creams don’t come out easily!
So I find I can leave this one near the nappies and wipes I don’t have to have it up high so definitely a fan.
The creamy consistency melts onto my almost 5mth olds bottom is a thick consistency but this means it is providing a thick barrier against the moisture that is hurting his wee bottom. And it works.
It’s a nice thick formula but isn’t greasy, oily, gritty, pasty, sticky.. pretty much ideal for a baby’s bottom. We try and reduce the chemicals we use so the more natural the better.
We have been using it a few days and has been great for his bum no redness. We are very much up and go having a 3 and 5 yo to run around after so the fact it fits the nappy bag also is handy.

Really liked this product, it has helped with my teething baby’s nappy rash. I like that it’s a natural cream and isn’t too greasy. The only trouble I had was that the cream was really hard to get out of the tube. Even on a hot day I had to squeeze it really hard to use it. If it had been a bit smoother or perhaps in a tub this would have helped. Would still recommend but if it was that bit more usable that would be great!

    Review!

I have been using this product on my 6.5 month old girl who has eczema and nappy rash for the past few days and I’ve found it good!

First of all, the packaging is a great size, making it very compact and portable. I’ve now been including it in my daughters daycare bag so the teachers can use it during the day for her too. The squeezable tube makes for very easy to apply on the go and at home.

Secondly, the formulation is very nourishing and you feel as if the skin has a barrier protection once the cream is applied.

Thirdly, the only thing I found tricky was that the formulation is very thick, so although this is good for skin barrier protection, it does make it a little difficult to apply quickly as you kind of need to warm it up in your hands before putting it on the skin.

Overall, I would recommend this to someone else due to the easy packaging, gentle formulation and portability of the product.

Received my cream today, used tonight was a little tricky to get out of the tube, but poped it on you only need a tiny amount to cover the nappy area, which means will last a good amount of time was a nice thick consistency and wasnt at all sticky/oily/ runny like some of the others can be so overall great product

  17. KGathie 19/02/2020 at 8:17 pm

I received my Earthwise nappy balm the other day. I have used it on both my 3 month old and my 2 year old. I love the smell, and that I can trust the ingredients. It’s great to see recyclable signs on the tubing. I find the consistency to be really thick, which makes it quite hard to get out of the tubing. It doesn’t go on well if there is a bit of moisture there (like from a wet wipe). But the product is wonderful. It works well, the redness cleared up within a couple of days. I can easily throw it in the nappy bag – I do like that it is in a tube.
All in all I am very pleased with the product.

  18. DJ_PJ 19/02/2020 at 7:24 pm

Loved the cream, it was easy to rub on and seemed to do the trick on sore buns well. Found the bottle a bit hard to squeeze out which was annoying with wriggling babies, however good for when the babies want to play with the bottle when mummy’s not looking.

  19. Taliez 19/02/2020 at 3:23 pm

The Earthwise Nourish Nappy Balm was excellent! Although it was a little hard to squeeze out of the tube due to the thick consistency, once on baby’s bottom it applied easily. You could really feel the nice shea butter smoothing into the skin like a nice moisturiser. It has kept her bottom from going red! We are cloth nappy users too so it’s nice to have a product without zinc so it won’t create a barrier in the nappy to prevent absorption. Thumbs up from us!

Have received my earth wise nappy balm and it’s amazing. It’s very thick and rubs in well enjoying it

  21. Shortlisted 18/02/2020 at 9:23 pm

I have just received my Earthwise nappy balm. It can be a little tricky to squeeze out of the tube while bubs is trying to twist and turn to crawl away it is super easy to apply. Not only is it easy to apply it also did an amazing job at clearing and keeping bubs skin clear. Also a handy size for nappy bags and handbags!

  22. Meggles 18/02/2020 at 6:08 pm

I was real pleased with the results this product produced. It is a good thick consistency, which rubs in well to my babies skin. It wasn’t oil unlike a lot of similar produces and left the skin feeling moisturised without being smiley. I liked that it didn’t have a fragrance as my son has sensitive skin. I applied it to an area of skin that was red from a heat rash, by the time I next changed his nappy the redness had gone.
