1 cup caster sugar
1 orange

1 cup milk
1 cup icing sugar

- 1 mixing bowl
- 1 20cm square or round cake tin
- 1 skewer
- 1 cake tray
- 1 food processor (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease and line a 20cm square or round cake tin.
- Place all cake ingredients (butter, caster sugar, orange zest and juice, eggs, vanilla, flour, and milk) in a mixing bowl and beat on low speed until just combined.
- Increase speed and beat until smooth.
- Pour into prepared tin and bake for 40 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean.
- Allow cake to cool for 5 minutes in the tin and then turn out onto a cake tray to cool completely.
- To make the icing, combine icing sugar and enough orange juice to make a smooth paste.
- Spread icing onto the cold cake.
