Snowplanet is New Zealand’s only indoor snow resort, where families can experience real snow all year round. Inside the snow dome, the temperature sits at around −5°C and features a 200-metre slope with lifts, a terrain park for more confident riders, a dedicated beginner learning area, and the popular Winter Wonderland snow play zone for younger visitors.
Guests can hire skis or snowboards, take lessons with qualified instructors, or simply enjoy time in the snow. Snowplanet also hosts school groups, birthday parties, and corporate events throughout the year. Off the snow, visitors can warm up in the restaurant and licensed bar, browse the retail store for snow essentials, or relax while watching the action on the slope.
School Holiday Program at Snowplanet
Snowplanet’s School Holiday Program offers a great environment for children aged 5-16 years to learn to ski or snowboard in a safe, friendly and encouraging environment. Throughout the program children are separated into groups depending on their age, skill level and choice of skiing or snowboarding, and are instructed by Snowplanet’s friendly Ski & Board School instructors to advance their snow sport skills.
