Photo frame chore chart

Chore charts and rewards charts are a good way to get kids' routines organised. Getting help around the house might be a bit easier with this photo frame chore chart idea.

What you need:

  • 1 x multi-frame photo frame
  • 12 wooden clothes pegs
  • craft paper
  • piece of A4 card
  • 1 x small box (mini light bulb box or a crayon box is ideal)
  • ruler
  • pencil
  • black marker pen
  • hot glue gun

Activity:

You will need a frame that has a frame for each child's picture plus a frame to put the chores box in. So for three children, a four-picture photo frame is ideal.

Put a photo of each child in the frames. Put a sign in the final frame that says, "Chores." This is where the box that holds all the chores will go.

Now hot glue three wooden pegs to the side of each child's photo. Those are to hold the three chores that child will do daily or weekly. (Depending on how you want to do the chores.)

You can spruce up the pegs by gluing a piece of craft paper to each one.

Now get the small box, cut the top flaps off, and cut it down to size so that it fits in the final frame. Cover it with craft paper to make it look fancy. Hot glue it in place.

Write out the chores on the piece of card, cut each chore out, so that each one is on a strip of white paper.

Put all the chore strips in the box. Now each week assign three chores to each child. Peg them to that child's photo, when they're done, they can be removed and put back in the box.

When each child has done their chores, they can have their pocket money.
