Rudolph Caramel Tartlets

Ingredients

  • 12 mini tartlet shells

    pre-baked

  • 1 cup caramel filling

    thick/dulce de leche style

  • 24 mini pretzels

    for antlers

  • 12 red chocolate candies

    for noses

  • 24 candy eyes

    edible sugar eyes

  • 1 Serving tray

Instructions

  1. Arrange the pre-baked tartlet shells on a clean work surface or serving tray.
  2. Spoon or pipe the caramel filling into each tartlet shell until nearly full.
  3. Place two mini pretzels at the top of each tartlet to create the antlers.
  4. Add two candy eyes in the center and one red candy at the bottom for the nose.
  5. Allow to set for a few minutes before serving.

Tip
Use store-bought caramel to save time.
Tip
If the pretzels don't stick, use a dot of melted chocolate.
Variation
Use chocolate ganache instead of caramel for a different flavor.
Variation
Use red glacé cherries for a shiny nose.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in a cool place for up to 2 days. Pastry may soften over time.
