Tomato sauce
Ingredients
500g (18oz) peeled tomatoes
1 clove garlic
Pinch of sugar
Salt and freshly ground pepper
50ml (4tbsp) olive oil
Method
Tomato Sauce is a common condiment used around the world, create your own fresh version with this simple recipe.
Add the tomatoes, garlic, sugar and seasoning to a pan and bring to the boil. Cover and reduce to a simmer for 45 minutes Remove the pan from the heat and push a stick blender into the mixture to submerge. Blend on the standard speed for approximately 1å_ minutes until smooth. Allow to cool and pour into a clean container and store in the refrigerator.
Note:
Fresh Tomato sauce will last up to 7 days.
