Oven-baked garlic prawns

These garlic and chilli prawns are baked in the oven so they cook evenly and still have that delicious crunch.

Ingredients

  • 1kg large green prawns

    with tail on

  • 1 cup butter

    (125g)

  • 1 cup vegetable oil

    (125ml)

  • 12 cloves garlic

    chopped

  • 1 tbsp chilli flakes

  • 1 cup parsley

    finely chopped

  • lemon slices

    to garnish

  • 1 baking tray
  • 1 baking paper
  • 1 small saucepan

    Tip
    I like to serve these with crusty bread to mop up all the delicious garlic butter.
    Tip
    This is especially good for when you have to feed a crowd and it's a good way to cook the prawns without over-cooking them.
    Variation
    If you are serving these to little ones then you may like to omit the chilli flakes.
    Variation
    For a non-spicy version, you can try Lemon garlic prawns.
