🦖 What’s in Quorn Roarsomes?

Quorn Roarsomes are made with mycoprotein, coated in breadcrumbs. Mycoprotein is a highly nutritious plant-based protein, which is derived from a natural micro-fungus (Fusarium Venenatum). The fungus is fermented in a similar way to yogurt, which promotes growth of the mycoprotein and from the mycoprotein, Quorn is made.

Overall I thought they were a fun alternative to meat and like the fact that they are healthier than other options like chicken nuggets. They were also super easy to prepare and crisp up nicely & have a good texture.

The boys were super excited that they were in the shape of dinosaurs. They both ate them all up and asked for some more. We would look to buy these at the shops in the future. They were a win in our household.

Golden and crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Tasted a lot like your regular chicken nuggets so are a healthier alternative for meat free dinners that your kids will still love (that still have protein in them).

Thanks for picking us for the trial! I had never heard of Quorn before but I have noticed them in Countdown since being selected. My 4 and 6 year old love chicken nuggets but I am always weary of exactly what was in them. I have been looking for a healthier alternative for a while as we are trying to limit our meat consumption. My son saw the packaging and was immediately excited and asking about when dinner was going to be ready. He said he wanted his mash potato in the shape of a volcano just like the box. My children didn’t notice a single difference between our regular nuggets and the Roarsome nuggets. I tried some myself and I also couldn’t taste a difference. The crunch was perfect and they go great with your favourite classic sides ( we had mash and veg.) These will definitely be added to my weekly list whether they’re for a quick snack or or an easy dinner. The kids are happy and I’m confident that dinner was healthy and full of goodness! I have seen Quorn also sells meat less mince so we are giving that a try later this week! Thankyou Quorn.

Thanks for the opportunity to taste these nuggets of yumminess! The kids were all so excited and read the box in anticipation. The older kids knew what vegan meant and were interested in what they would taste like. They cooked easily in the oven, 15 minutes, and I served with roasted carrots and broccoli. The were devoured quickly and it was announced they were better than chicken! The wee boy loved the shapes and the older girls were impressed by the taste and size.. We would buy again noting the taste and vegetarian makeup.

First of all, thanks for letting us try these. We received our box last week, the kids were super excited as they’re obsessed with dinosaurs. Made it in the air fryer and it was a huge hit. They were served with mashed potato balls, peas and brocolli

Though there were only 6 pieces, the pieces were quite large. Probably enough for 2 hungry kids. The only thing that may deter someone from purchasing these is the price.

Overall, we are satisfied with our experience

We received this as a product to review and the kids were absolutely thrilled. We follow a halal diet and it’s usually very hard to find halal products that the kids would enjoy. As soon as I mentioned dino Nuggets my 6 year old was delighted and seeing her the 3 year old got really excited too. There were 6 Nuggets in the box and each of them a very generous size. I just put them in the air fryer and was the easiest and happiest meal for the kids

Wow what aromatic yummy goodies these were. Gave them for my girls this morning for a great protein low carb breakfast and now they want it for brekkie everyday. Best part its Vegan so we know its clean protein, low in saturated fat and its puts a smile in my beauties. Definitely will be on my next grocery shop.

We cooked our Quorn Roarsomes for dinner tonight.
My daughter liked the packaging and asked several times “what is that?” while I was opening them.
It was easy enough to pull them out of the box an put them on the oven tray without having to get my hand dirty or adding extra dishes.
We had them alongside potato and salad, so in terms of cook time it worked out quite well, they were coming out of the oven just as the potatoes had been mashed.
My daughter enjoyed the dinosaur shape, and was happy to eat them. Once she finished the first one, she said “Can I have another dinosaur, Mummy”. She didn’t eat anything else from her plate. We didn’t have any sauces with them, so I dipped mine in my mashed potato. I thought they tasted a lot like chicken.
Although the taste was good and my daughter enjoyed them, I thought they were a bit dry and the amount in the package was not enough. We all eat together for all our meals (2 adults, 1 child) and everyone eats the same thing, so these did not work well as a main meal for us.
I also would probably not use them often as a snack, as 15 minutes in the oven is a bit of a waste for 2 dinosaurs (maybe if my daughter had friends over?).
It would be good if there were more in a packet, or maybe other options for cooking which made it more appealing for in between meals.

Thank you for the opportunity to try these!
My kids loved the box & insisted that I make the same picture as on the box, with the volcano, so that is what we did. My 6 year old liked them & asked for more, my 3 year old barely tried them but he is anyway quite fussy & dosnt like chicken nuggets either. They both thought they looked very cool & liked to “play” with them. We had some left & my daughter had one in a burger on another day. I also tried this and think it is a yum (& fun!) alternative to meat in burgers (I don’t eat meat myself and liked the crunch & taste in a burger). I think these would be really great as a plate at a dinosaur themed bday party. Overall I thought they were a fun alternative to meat and like the fact that they are healthier than other options like chicken nuggets. They were also super easy to prepare and crisp up nicely & have a good texture.

We want to thank you for giving us the opportunity to try out this new product. We loved the packaging and my son was so very excited to try this new nugget as he put it. He could hardly wait for the dinos to finish baking. I must admit that he finished only one dino stating that it didnt taste like anything, he only tastes the tomato sauce he used with it. Overall impressed with the look and texture but not the taste. I finished the rest and must admit i enjoyed it although it definately tasted like ‘nothing’. I am pregnant so enjoying ‘bland’ foods at the moment. I would also suggest bigger packs, say min 12 dinos per pack as families with more than 1 child will need to buy multiple packs to supply a meal at a time. Easy to prepare and serve. Overall a pleasurable experience thanks.

These arrived on Thursday and the kids had been nagging to try them ever since. We just got home from a local treasure hunt and it was finally time to try them. I like that they came in just the cardboard box, no unnecessary plastic. Following the provided cooking directions, I actually cooked them in the air frier. If I had been cooking more eg chips, then I would have done in oven, but didn’t want to bother preheating the oven for such small items. They crisped up nicely in 15 minutes. The kids all had one each, with aioli and tomato sauce. They preferred them with the aioli. They had one each, but weren’t really keen on seconds. They loved the dinosaur shapes, but think they weren’t too keen on the (lack of) flavour maybe.
At first they kind of reminded me of fish fingers, but less flavour. The kids and I both enjoyed the crunchiness of the crumb coating.

I would like my nearly three years old son try this product for healthy protein source. It sounds healthy, so cute shaped. Can’t wait to see whether he likes it.

My almost 9 year old has decided to be vegetarian which I am so proud!! I am vegan myself. It is hard thinking of things she will enjoy though – no chickpea curries for her yet 😆 I think she’d love these quorn dinosaurs
