Chicken, rice and vegetables

Babies and toddlers love the simple flavours of chicken, rice and vegetables so this recipe that combines all three is perfect for little kids - and you can blend it up to make a nutritious dinner for babies just starting on solid food.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 chicken breast

  • ¼ cup rice

  • 3 carrots

    peeled and sliced

  • 120g green beans

    whole

Equipment

  • 1 medium size saucepan
  • 1 food processor

Instructions

  1. Add water, chicken and rice to a medium size saucepan and simmer 20 minutes.
  2. Add carrots and beans, simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Strain chicken and vegetables, reserving liquid.
  4. Place chicken and vegetables in a food processor and add enough reserved liquid to make a moist, smooth consistency.
