Craft your own spinning top

What you need:

• cardboard
• scissors
• short pencil or crayon
• wide glass

Activity:

Place the wide glass on the cardboard.

Trace its circumference, using a pencil.

Cut out the circle from the cardboard.

Push the pencil or crayon through the centre of the circle.

Spin the spinning top.

Notes:

• Use a short thick pencil or crayon for better results.
• Decorate the cardboard circle using stickers or coloured pencils.
• You may require scissors to help push the pencil through the centre of the circle.
