Valentine heart wreath

We decorate for Christmas, celebrate Easter and even get right into Halloween, so why not Valentine's Day as well? Here's a great way to show the neighbours you're celebrating this occasion in your home with this lovely Valentine's Day wreath for your front door.

What you need:

  • paper plate
  • paper
  • pencil
  • coloured pencils
  • scissors
  • glue
  • markers

Number of players:
1+

Activity:

Using a marker, draw around the edge of the paper plate so it has a coloured edge.

To create the wreath, cut the flat part of the paper plate away, leaving only the lip of the plate – this should create a wreath that is a couple of centimetres wide.

On a separate piece of paper, draw love hearts that are 5cm wide.

Cut them out, colour them in and then glue them onto the wreath.

Notes:

  • You can also add Valentine words in the middle of the hearts, such as love and kiss.
  • You can get a great effect by using different coloured papers for the hearts.
  • If you are feeling really creative, you could add leaves or branches (as pictured) and add your embellishments to the top of the leaves with glue.
