Cookie ingredients jar
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (115g) caster sugar
- 1/2 cup (95g) choc chips
- 1 cup (85g) desiccated coconut
- 1/2 cup hazelnuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup (80g) brown sugar
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup cornflakes, crushed
- 1 1/4 cups (190g) plain flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp bicarbonate soda
You will also need:
- 1 large jar
- fabric and ribbon, for packaging
- small card for recipe
Method
Step 1. Gather your ingredients, measuring cups and a large jar.
Step 2. Layer ingredients in the jar, alternating colours and textures. Seal the jar.
Step 3. Write recipe and instructions on a card. If using the above recipe, include the following instructions:
“Combine contents of jar with 125g melted butter, 1 egg and 1 tsp vanilla. Drop spoonfuls of mixture onto a tray lined with baking paper. Bake at 180°C (160°C fan-forced) for 10-12 mins.”
Step 4. Cut a circle of colourful fabric to cover the lid. Attach recipe card to string or ribbon, and tie around jar.
