Marbled chocolates

This recipe for marbled chocolates is great for the kids to get cooking. Place finished chocolates in small paper or foil cases for gifts. If you have an empty chocolate box in the house, fill it up with your homemade goodies.

Ingredients

  • 100g white chocolate

    chopped

  • 100g dark or milk chocolate

    chopped

Equipment

  • 1 small round chocolate moulds
  • 1 small foil cases
  • 1 small silicone cups
  • 1 heatproof bowls
  • 1 microwave
  • 1 teaspoon
  • 1 toothpick

Instructions

  1. Place the white chocolate in a heatproof bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds; stir and repeat process in 30 second intervals until melted and smooth (took 1 min 30 sec in my microwave).
  2. Place the dark or milk chocolate in a separate heatproof bowl and repeat microwave process until melted and smooth.
  3. Place a teaspoon of melted white chocolate and a teaspoon of dark or milk chocolate in a mould. Use a toothpick to swirl the chocolates together for a marbled effect. Don't stir too much!
  4. If the chocolates (in the bowls) start to set before you are finished, just reheat for 10-20 seconds in the microwave.
  5. Leave the marbled chocolates at room temperature until set (a couple of hours).
  6. If the chocolates are in moulds or silicon cups, gently press out.

Notes

Tip
A great recipe for the kids; if your children are a bit too young to be in charge of the microwave, melt the chocolate for them and then let them go!
Tip
Place finished chocolates in small paper or foil cases for gifts. If you have an empty chocolate box in the house, fill it up with your homemade goodies.
