Easy chocolate brownies

Chocolate brownies are the ultimate indulgence - and with nothing to distract from the rich chocolatey goodness of this brownie, this is one chocolate brownie recipe you'll want to indulge in.

Ingredients

  • 300g butter

  • 1 cup cocoa

  • 2 cups brown sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1/4 milk choc bits

  • 1/4 white choc bits

  • 1 slice tin (18cm x 23cm)
  • 1 baking paper
  • 1 large bowl
  • 1 microwave
  • 1 wire rack

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180ºC. Line the base of 18cm x 23cm slice tin with baking paper.
  2. Place butter and cocoa in large bowl and heat in microwave until butter is melted, stir. Add brown sugar and mix well.
  3. Add eggs and flour, – 1 egg and ½ cup flour at a time – making sure to mix after each addition. Add choc bits and combine.
  4. Bake for 30-40 mins or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Cool in the tin for 10 minutes then turn onto wire rack.
  5. Dust with icing sugar when cool. Nice served warm as a dessert with berries.
