Egg carton bat

Decorate your house for Halloween AND recycle some trash with these cute egg carton bats.  Don't forget the googly eyes!

What you need:

• 3 x egg carton cups for each bat
• black paint
• 2 x googly craft eyes
• glue
• scissors
• black wool or string
• a skewer

Cut three cups out of the egg carton. Trim one for the main body. 

For the wings, trim up two cups, by cutting the centre out of the front and back panels. (See video.)

Paint all three cups black.

Glue each wing to the body of the bat. Glue on two googly eyes.

Use the skewer to pierce a hole in the top of the bat's head, thread black string through and tie a knot to secure it.

Make lots of bats and hang them around the house for Halloween.
