Monster in a jar

What a catch! These monsters are not only great fun and full of science education, they will make your kids the envy of the class! Who else can catch a monster in a jar?

What you need:

  • 1 x Green gooey slime
  • a jar (baby food, jam or even pasta sauce jars work well)
  • googly eyes
  • paper
  • markers
  • gluestick
  • PVA glue (optional)

Step 1. Clean and dry your jar.

Step 2. Make your Green gooey slime.

Step 3. Fill the jar with your slime.

Step 4. Drop in as many eyes as you want your monster to have.

Step 5. Pop the lid on the jar and make sure it's nice and tight. You can add a small amount of PVA glue to the inside of the lid before tightening to make sure your monster never escapes.

Step 6. Pop your monster's name on a small piece of paper and decorate. Use your gluestick to stick your label on the jar. There you have it, your very own monster in a jar.

Notes: You could use a few baby food jars to create smaller monster. Use them as place settings at your Halloween party.
