Nuttvia chocolate crackles

A familiar favourite in our baking tins chocolate crackles are one of those iconic party or snack treats we all end up making and sharing on the kids party table.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Nutvia

  • ½ cup Cocoa powder

  • 80g Butter

  • 1 Vanilla essence

  • 4 cups Rice Puffs

  • ½ cup Desiccated Coconut

Equipment

  • 1 small saucepan
  • 1 bowl
  • 1 spatula
  • 1 patty pans

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat combine the Nutvia, butter, cocoa powder and vanilla essence. Stir continuously until the mixture has melted, taking care not to let it over cook.
  2. Pour the Nutvia mixture into a bowl. Pour in the rice puffs and desiccated coconut, stir to coat.
  3. When completely coated spoon into patty pans, pressing the mix firmly with the spatula.
  4. Place into the fridge until firm, approximately 30 minutes.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
