Ginger lemonade

This old-fashioned recipe for ginger lemonade is a great thirst-quencher on a hot day and a good way to soothe a sore throat when the sniffles hit. Combine fresh ginger with lemons for a lemonade with a kick!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar

  • 4 water

  • 14 slices ginger root

  • 4 cups lemon juice

  • 2 lemons

    sliced

Equipment

  • 1 large saucepan

Instructions

  1. In large saucepan, combine sugar, water and ginger. Heat to boiling, stirring occassionally.
  2. Stir in lemon juice. Cool for 15 minutes. Refrigerate for a hour.
  3. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.
