Just in time for the spooktacular season, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween brings Halloween to life in this new family friendly, comedy adventure film based on the world R. L. Stine created in his 400 million-selling series of books.

Released on October 11

Official synopsis

In the small town of Wardenclyffe on Halloween Night, two boys named Sonny and Sam find a manuscript in an abandoned house that was previously owned by R. L. Stine called “Haunted Halloween.” When they open it, they unknowingly release Slappy, who plans to cause a Halloween Apocalypse with the help of his monster allies. Now Sonny and Sam, alongside Sonny’s sister, Sarah, must work to thwart Slappy’s plot before all is lost.

Are we excited?

Oh yeah!

One of our favourite family films of 2015, the first Goosebumps adaptation starring Jack Black was a massive hit that gave us all the nostalgia vibes and lived to spook a new generation of enthusiastic little adventurers. The first film featured a mash-up of all the best monsters Stine had created in the book series and brought to life the ever creepy/brilliant Slappy the Dummy (who just so happens to make a reappearance in this sequel).

We are highly anticipating the release of Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween and if the trailer below is anything to go by, it looks like it is going to be an epic thrill ride just in time for the Halloween season.
