Brainy breakfast smoothie recipe

Here's a fabulously fruity smoothie recipe that's full of veggies too! Perfect to give the kids a healthy start to the day, this quick breakfast idea is packed with nutritional goodness that will keep them going til lunchtime!

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas

    peeled

  • 1 celery

    chopped

  • 1 cup spinach

    chopped

  • 1 mandarin

    peeled

  • 1/4 lemon

    juiced

  • 1 orange

    peeled

  • 1/2 passion fruit

    pulp only

  • 2 cups water

Equipment

  • 1 Vitamix
  • 1 Blender

Instructions

  1. Peel bananas, orange and mandarin.
  2. Chop celery and spinach. Juice lemon. Scoop out passion fruit pulp.
  3. Add all ingredients to Vitamix and blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Serve immediately.

Notes

Tip
Chill the fruit and make sure the water is iced if you want a more refreshing drink.
Variation
You can make this in your regular blender if you don't have a Vitamix.
