Spicy crab cob dip

Spicy crab dip recipe



  • 250g cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 6 drops Tabasco
  • 2 cans crab meat, drained
  • 1 cob loaf
  • flaked almonds


Pre-heat oven to 180°C or 160°C fan forced.

Mix cream cheese, onion, Tabasco and crab meat together.

Slice off top of cob and hollow inside, reserving chunks of bread.

Pour crab mixture into hollowed-out cob. Sprinkle with flaked almonds.

Place on baking tray with reserved bread chunks.

Bake until almonds and chunks of bread are golden. Serve.

Serving Suggestions


  • If you want a healthier dip, use low fat cream cheese instead.
  • In place of tabasco, you can substitute sweet chilli sauce.
