Indoor basketball

Raining outside? This game is great to play indoors on a rainy day and will keep the kids entertained for hours. It will also help with their hand-eye co-ordination. A great way to use up those old newspapers.

What you need:

  • sheets of newspaper
  • wastepaper bin

Number of players:
1+

Activity:

Use sheets of newspaper to make lots of balls by scrunching them up small.

Start off practising by having a competition to see who can throw the ball the furthest.

After you have finished practising it is time to play some basketball!

Place a wastepaper bin a metre or so away and see who can land a ball in it the most times.

Besides being lots of fun, this game will help improve your child’s hand-eye skills.
