Moo burgers

Made moist with sour cream in the mix, these moo burgers are a great way to use up beef mince when you're not sure what to cook. Serve on lightly-toasted buns with cheese and salad for a burger from heaven.

Ingredients

  • 700g ground beef

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 tbsp onion

    chopped

  • 1 salt

  • 1½ cups corn flakes

Equipment

  • 1 ziplock bag
  • 1 grill
  • 1 BBQ
  • 1 skillet

Instructions

  1. Combine the meat, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, onion and salt.
  2. Place cornflakes in ziplock bag and ask the kids to crush slightly.
  3. Stir into meat mixture and shape into 8 patties.
  4. Grill or BBQ about 5 minutes on each side, or until cooked to taste. May be cooked in a skillet on top of the stove for approximately the same time.
  5. Serve on toast or a dinner roll with cheese and salad.

Notes

Tip
This is a great recipe to get kids involved; let them crush the cornflakes in the bag.
