What you need:
- Aluminium can
- Masking tape
- Paint (pink and black)
- Paint brush
- Clear acrylic spray
- Pink craft foam
- Googly eyes
- Pink pipe cleaners
- Pen
- Glue
- Scissors
Number of players:
1+
Activity:
Clean the soft drink can to make sure there’s no liquid left inside.
Remove the tab from the top of the can.
Lie the can on a flat surface and step on it to flatten it. Be careful to do this slowly to make sure you get the shape you want.
Once flat, cover any sharp edges with a small piece of masking tape.
Paint the can pink. This may take several coats of paint.
Locate the drinking hole in the former top of the can and paint inside the hole on the can black. This is your pig’s mouth.
Seal the painting with a coat of clear acrylic spray. Allow to dry completely.
Cut two small ears out of pink craft foam.
Glue the ears to the top of the can.
Glue the googly eyes into place on the pig’s face.
Cut a piece of pink pipe cleaner about 15-20cm long. Use a pen and wrap the pipe cleaner around it to curl the tail.
Glue the tail onto the back of the aluminium can so it lies off to one side of the pig’s body. Your pig is ready for some play time!
