Creating a fairy garden

Kids love playing in the garden and they can enjoy being creative when they make their very own fairy garden that they can play loads of imaginary games in later.

What you need:

• Soil
• Bricks, stones or wood edging
• Plants
• Flowers

Find a space in the garden that you can section off and use for the fairy garden.

Ensure that the area is in direct sunlight.

Using the plants and flowers, your kids can create a special place by arranging them as they like.

Once they are happy with the placement  of the plants, dig small holes and place the plants into the soil and cover.

Notes:

• Kids can make special fairy furniture for their garden for imaginative fairy play.
• If you don't have the space to make a permanent fairy garden, your kids could create a teeny weeny fairy garden in a planter box.
