About Northern Rocks – Youth Bouldering Classes

Northern Rocks offers some of New Zealand’s leading youth climbing programmes, supporting everyone from first-time climbers to national-level competitors. Our popular girls’ programmes are led by experienced female coaches and supported by Harbour Sport and Aktive.

Now an Olympic sport, bouldering is growing fast and our classes give young climbers the chance to build skills, confidence and a love of movement in a safe, supportive environment. We offer classes for all abilities, with friendly coaching, inclusive options like rental shoes, and pathways for those interested in competition.

Led by accomplished coaches, including national champions and NZ team climbers, our youth teams focus on fun, progression and belonging, helping young people climb higher, together.
