The Adventures of Mittens | Book Review

Meet Mittens, Wellington’s world-famous cat-about-town (and his more homebody brother, Latte). Mittens has thousands of followers, a hit song, an exhibition of fan art, and with his exploring paws he brings joy to everyone he meets!

If you haven’t heard of Mittens, he’s the Turkish Angora who caught our attention when, just by being his inquisitive and charming self, his antics cheered up Wellingtonians during the 2020 lockdown. Wellington’s mayor awarded Mittens a Key to the City and HRF (His Royal Floofiness) was even nominated for New Zealander of the Year!

Now Mittens’ guardian, Silvio Bruinsma, has written this delightful story about Mittens’ adventures around the capital city, and all the lives he touches! Just as delightfully illustrated by Phoebe Morris, our kiddies will enjoy this happy tale of the much loved celebrity cat whose walkabout leaves no corner of the CBD unexplored – every landmark, shop, venue, or event attended (invited or otherwise), roads crossed safely, and every person passed, met and greeted with a smooch!
