Make an indoor cubby house

There's nothing more fun than creating a cosy secret space like an indoor cubby house! Your kids will lose themselves for hours playing natural imaginative games in their cubbies and playhouses that they helped create.

Place a blanket or bedspread over a table or a couple of chairs to create a private space. You may need to use a few pegs to secure the cover to your furniture so the cubby doesn't collapse in the middle.

Children can bring cushions and blankets into their indoor cubby house.

Notes:

• Indoor cubby houses are an excellent way to encourage imaginative play – after all, a cubby can easily turn into a hospital for sick teddies, a school room, a house, a rocket ship, or any other flight of fancy!
• Gnerally, kids love to have a door on their cubby house, so try to use a blanket or bedspread that's big enough to create a flap they can use to shut out the real world while they enjoy their make-believe games.
