Paper cup rocket

What you need:

• 4 paper cups
• Construction paper
• Double-sided tape
• Felt Tape
• Glue
• Ruler
• Scissors
• Markers, crayons or stickers (optional)

Activity:

Top and tail 4 cups and tape them together.

Cover the joins with felt strips.

For the burners use construction paper to cut 3 diamond shapes – with one end of the diamond being longer than the others… this will be the part that sits against the rocket body.

Fold each diamond in half lengthways.

Attach to rocket in equally distanced sections with double sided tape.

This forms a steady base for your rocket.

Using construction paper, cut a circle about 12 cms in diameter.

Cut a slit from the outer edge to the center.

Turn the circle into a cone, and secure it with glue or tape.

Tape the cone to the top of the rocket.

Decorate the rocket with stickers, markers or crayons.
