Cool pencil toppers
Have some fun with your pens and pencils with these fun pencil toppers. This kids craft project is easy to make and will bring delight to your kids whenever they go to write or draw. Make funny face toppers, or make a koala or puppy topper. You decide!
What you need:
- craft foam sheets or felt
- white craft glue
- scissors
- mini pom-poms or felt
- pencils
- glitter

Cut out two identical circles or hearts from the foam or felt.
Spread glue around the edge of one of the shapes, leaving about 2cm open where you will insert the pencil.
Press the two shapes together and give them several hours to dry.
You can start to decorate the front and back while waiting.
Cut out felt or foam for eyes, nose and mouth, or use the mini pom-poms, glitter or whatever you like to give it character.
Once the toppers are completely dry and solidly stuck together, insert the end of a pencil carefully into the opening.
You now have a stylish addition to your pencil case to show off at school.
Notes:
- Use red and white felt to craft a Santa topper.
- Other ideas include a candy cane topper, a reindeer topper, Christmas tree. Theme your pencil case to Christmas.
