Father’s Day: make a handprint scroll artwork

Kids will love getting a bit messy with this lovely homemade gift idea. If you're looking for Father's Day gift ideas, why not make this handprint scroll artwork for Dad?

What you need:

• 1 piece of A3 paper
• red, gold & green paint
• paint brushes
• 1 x paper plate
• 1 x makeup sponge
• a black marker pen
• 25cm of red ribbon

Activity:

Cover a paper plate with red paint.

Get your child to put their hand in the paint to make a handprint.

Press the handprint onto an A3 piece of paper.

Draw stems and leaves with the green paint.

Now use a makeup sponge to smear a edge around the artwork with the gold paint.

Wait for it to dry and then roll it up and secure it with a red ribbon.

Get the kids to present it to Dad for Father's Day.
