Make a rosebud card

This sweet rosebud card idea is a great homemade card for Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day or even for Father’s Day.  Why not make this simple homemade card for Mum or Dad?

What you need:

• 1 x FREE rose card printable
• 1 x A4 piece of red paper
• 1 x small piece of green paper
• 1 x green chenille stem
• 25cm of ribbon
• glue
• scissors
• marker pen

Print the free template onto a piece of red paper. Cut out the rose shape and fold it on the dotted lines.

Write your message on the inside of the flower.

Now get your chenille stem and use sticky tape to attach it to the back of the rose.

Pierce a hole in the two petals, where they overlap, and thread the ribbon through to tie up the petals. Tie the ribbon in a bow.

Now get a small piece of green paper and draw a double leaf onto it (see picture). Cut this one out and then trace around it to make another identical one. Put each piece on either side of the chenille stem and glue them together to hold them in place there.
