Lemon garlic prawns

Lemon garlic prawns are a delicious combination of light summery flavours. Simply marinate the prawns in the lemon and garlic mix and then throw them onto the barbecue.

Ingredients

  • 500g fresh green king prawns

  • 1 tsp grated lemon rind

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp garlic

    crushed

  • 2 tsp lemon pepper seasoning

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tsp parsley

    fresh or dried

Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Pan
  • 1 Barbeque

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix all ingredients together to coat the prawns.
  2. Toss in a hot pan or on the barbeque until the prawns go pink and are cooked through.
  3. Season with freshly ground pepper and salt to taste before serving.

Notes

Tip
You can thread these onto soaked skewers if you are looking to serve them at a barbeque.
Tip
Don’t skip seasoning these. They require the salt to balance the lemon flavours.
Variation
Add a pinch of paprika for extra zing.
