Wet sand play

Wet sand is lots of fun to play with because it is so much easier to mould into shapes. Here's some ideas for wet sand play.

What you need:

• Sand
• Buckets
• Water
• Sand play toys (optional)

Number of players:

Activity:

Fill up a bucket with some water and take this to the sandpit, or fill up a bucket with sea water if at the beach.

Add some water to the sand to create wet sand.

Wet sand is easier to mould into shapes.

Fill up the bucket with wet sand and turn it upside-down to create a castle.

If you have brought other sand play toys with you, use these to create patterns on the castle, or mould new shapes out of them with the wet sand.
