Bush chutney

No need to buy your chutney now you can make your own delicious chutney at home like your grandmother used to. This recipe goes really well with your meats at a BBQ.

Ingredients

  • 12 large tomatoes

  • 4 large brown onions

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • 1 heaped tablespoon curry powder

  • 1 tbsp dried mustard

  • to cover vinegar

    brown or balsamic

  • to taste salt & pepper

Equipment

  • 1 Sterilised air-tight jar

Instructions

  1. Chop tomatoes and onions, add dry ingredients and cover with vinegar.
  2. Bring to the boil and cook until thick.
  3. Allow to cool and transfer into sterilised air-tight jar.
  4. Store in refrigerator.
