Make a paper plane that can actually fly with these easy instructions. This mighty mite paper plane design is compact and strong. A simple paper craft for kids that will then lead to another fun activity for kids: flying a paper airplane.
What you need:
- 1 x A4 sheet of paper
Number of players:
1
Activity:
Place the paper onto the table in front of you with the shortest edges top and bottom. Fold the left side over to and even with the right side. Unfold.
Fold the top edge down to and even with the bottom edge. Unfold.
Fold the left side over to the centre vertical crease.
Now fold the top left corner down to the middle crease (the crease that runs across the width)
Fold the bottom left corner up to the middle crease.
Flip fold the left side over to the intersection. Flip fold the left side over again.
Turn it over so that the blank side is facing up.
Now fold it in half – by folding the bottom edge up to and even with the top edge.
Fold the top layer down, leaving 3.5cm for the fuselage. Flip it over and do the same thing on the other side.
You have made a Mighty Mite – “mighty” because it’s compact and strong. Test it out!
