Make a pom pom stuff it in
This easy home made toy idea can be popped in a toddler busy bag for those times when you need your child to sit still: doctor's waiting rooms, car trips and plane trips.
What you need:
- 1 x small plastic container with lid
- a packet of pom poms (from the discount shop or craft shop)
- 1 x metal skewer
- scissors
Number of players:
1
Activity:
Punch a hole in the lid of a plastic container – the easiest way to do this is to heat up a metal skewer on the gas stove top and then burn a hole through the plastic.
Then get the scissors to make the hole just big enough for a pom pom to squeeze through.
Put the lid on. Give it to your toddler and challenge them to stuff all the pom poms back inside the container.
Hours of focused play that will also help develop fine motor skills!
